Heritage Preservation textile preservation boxes are museum quality, acid-free, sulfur free and lignin free throughout. Each box comes in two pieces with a full lid. Some are available with metal stayed corners and some with corners set up with archival, hot melt adhesive.

Each box comes with 108' (20" wide) acid-free tissue, Archival  Intercept bottom sheet and gloves which are shipped from our California facility. The boxes are drop shipped from the manufacturer one to two weeks after ordered and are shipped FedEx.   Sizes range from 30" to 60" in length.

Our Buffered Boxes are perfect for most fabrics including cotton, linen, polyester, rayon, acetate, nylon, etc. It has a minimum pH of 8.5 and 3% calcium carbonate buffer. TAPPI accelerated aging tests show our buffered box will prevent acid migration for up to five centuries! Specifications exceed those used by the United States National Archives and Records Administration.

Our museum quality Un-buffered Preservation Boxes are acid-free, sulfur free and lignin free throughout and pH neutral. White in color, they are made of inert 4 mm corrugated polypropylene.

An un-buffered textile preservation box is safer for silk and wool fabrics because the buffering agents added to our buffered boxes can damage fabrics made of animal proteins .
