We recently restored a beautiful 1960’s wedding dress. Barbara was thrilled to find it after it had been lost for nearly 40 years! Her wedding dress is a classic “Jackie Kennedy” style gown with short sleeves, and satin-covered buttons on back. When we received it it had oxidized stains on the front skirt and the buttons on back were damaged.

We removed the buttons, spot cleaned the oxidized stains, dry cleaned the gown with a virgin solvent. The veil and gloves were spot cleaned. We then replaced the buttons with new ones and finished the treatment with Museum Method™ wedding dress preservation with our Heritage Couture™ service that includes archival muslin.
